Joseph Wolf Obituary

WOLF Joseph Gabriel Wolf, age 78, of Powell, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2005 surrounded by his family. Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend, he is preceded in death by his mother Rosa Wolf, his father Joseph Wolf and sister Theresa Wolf. Joe was a graduate of St. Mary High School, Class of 1944 and a Veteran of the United States Navy, WW II. He was a member of the Columbus Maennerchor, Columbus Athletic Club and St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Anne V. Wolf; 4 children, Dr. Joseph T. Wolf of Cincinnati, Linda A. (Ron) Sabatino of Columbus, Mary L. (John) Kennedy of Dublin and Ellen M. (Mike) Holland of Dublin; 8 grandchildren, Lynanne, Gabrielle, R.J., Carly, Alexandra, Michael, Emily and Megan; and many friends, especially the crew that worked so closely with him on his apartments. Joe was the owner of Wolf Properties. He worked for Swan Cleaners for 36 years before retiring in 1982. Starting right out of the Navy, Joe quickly worked his way to become a Supervisor, and later, General Manager of the company. We thank him for his love, support, respect, humor and the impact he had on so many. He will remain in our hearts forever. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME at POWELL, 450 W. Olentangy St., Powell, 614-792-1471. Prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. (Funeral home is on SR 750/Powell Road 1/4 mile east of Sawmill Parkway.) Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, August 18, 2005 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 10700 Liberty Rd., Powell. The Rev. Jeffrey J. Rimelspach, Celebrant. Entombment Resurrection Cemetery, Lewis Center.
