I remember Ms. Katherine as a loving neighbor on South James Road. She would sit outside and tell me stories of her family history during summer months. She was always surrounded by family on holidays and birthdays. She would never forget to invite me since I was a friend of her daughter, Jackey. Her daughter and I would talk almost daily. Jackey was a fond loving person like Ms Katherine. She is gone and is truly missed. She will not be forgotten.I planted a rose bush near the back door of my house that was next door to her house on South James Road in her memory , however , I am no longer at that house I still have the memory.

To the Thompson and Goldstien Family. I am sorry for your loss. I met Ms. Katherine about 2 years ago, my cousin Vicky is her neighbor, she told me one day I was visiting I want you to meet someone who knows the family. So she takes me over and I tell Ms. Katherine who my grandparents and parents are and she was able to tell me a lot of information in regards to my history, I so enjoyed talking and laughing with her, and promised that I would bring my mother over to talk with her. Every summer of my life my siblings and I could not wait to visit Charlotte, TN and go to her brothers store, Mr. Hubert and Ms. Mollies to get cookies and candy. Your mother, grandmother was a gem, I am just so sorry that I did not get back over to enjoy more stories. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful women. Let the sweet memories sustain and comfort you today and in the days to come. God bless
