7 years have passed as if one day. We remember Ken. We miss Ken. We miss all of Ken’s attributes-his humor, wisdom, his kindnesses, his broad knowledge and interests. At 80 ourselves, we suspect we will see him sooner rather than later.....

This guest book invites folks to "Light a candle". How appropriate as that so describes Ken--a bright light in this world. Rare, indeed this man who cared for his mother, loved his children and grands, delighted when the banana tree outside his office window produced fruit, meticulously restored his cars, knew just what emails would be enjoyed......... A special man among men who is missed, never to be replaced.

Ken Driggs was my dentist on Siesta Key, even before I knew Chris, Pam, and Doug. Then, through work, Pam and I became great friends. I remember him as a wonderful dentist, with the best upbeat attitude. I know you deeply miss him, but in time, he will bring smiles and love to you every day.

God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you and whispered "come to me". We watched you suffer, and we watched you fade away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove...
He only takes the best.

My dear friend, I will miss you more than words can say..
You were a kind and wonderful man..working with you was a wonderful experience. Every day started with a big smile and you asking how every one was doing. You made every day a pleasure, you loved your patients and your work. I'm so lucky to have been your friend for all these years.

Dr. Driggs was the only dentist, ever, I looked forward to visiting. Before each session he would kick his assistant out of the room and we would tell each other jokes until we were crying. What a great guy. I was sad when he retired, and in retrospect I see it had little to do with dental work. He will be missed by scores, guaranteed.

Sweet, Loving, Kind & Gentle are a few word that I would chose when talking about or thinking of Dr. Driggs. He was the first dentist I ever went to that I actually enjoyed going to ~ I loved his demeanor & he always wore the most attractive ties. When I was leaving from my appt. I would always ((Hug)) and thanks him for being such a wonderful, caring man - not only in his profession, but as a friend (we joked about him being a great therapist - with "my" dentist I get a shrink as well as my dental needs) I referred many people to him - including ER docs -- One in particular asked me who to see as he had not been to a dentist in yrs. ~ and didn't "like" going to the dentist -- I told him that's because he didn't have the right dentist ~ Of course he saw Dr. Driggs & also became a "Driggs Groupie" ~ I was sad when he decided to leave dentistry, but also knew he would touch people's heart's in anything he ever did. I remember a day when Pam was in ER ~ I had to tell her how loved & adored her father was … She smiled & said Thank You ~ I have heard that from many people. She was indeed proud of her Dad ~ Christopher, Douglas, Pamela, Lauren & David, may you carry on a legacy that was a true gift from your Father/Grandfather. Loves ((Hugs)) and Prayers to All who LOVE Dr. Driggs ?

I had the greatest pleasure of becoming "Doc's" assistant for the last two years before he retired. We have remained good friends for 23 yrs and spoke frequently, as well as emailing. I loved him so much, and spoke with him a couple months ago. We laughed, as we always did together, and I just love his voice, it always made me smile. He fought a great fight and now Heaven gets to enjoy his fabulous sense of humor and kind heart. He called me "T", and I called him "Doc"....he was a dear friend and I will miss him so very much. Working with him every day for those two years was always a blast. His patients just loved him, and instead of dreading coming to the Dentist, they loved that they got to spend some time with him. He was the BEST and I send my deepest condolences to his children and grandchildren. RIP "Doc", you were a class act and I love you. xo
