L. Schwanke Obituary
1947 - 2017
L. Fred Schwanke, Jr., age 71, of Dublin, OH, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 5, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents Lee and Nellie Schwanke. Fred attended Boise State University and graduated from St. Mary's College in Moraga, CA. A veteran of the United States Navy, he worked for General Electric for 20 years and Transamerica for five years. Before starting his own business at RSL, Fred was a Disaster Recovery Specialist for JP Morgan Chase. He was a longtime member of the NRA. Fred was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Carol Schwanke; his sons and daughter-in-law, Lee Schwanke of Hilliard, OH and Jay and Jennifer Schwanke of Dublin; grandchildren, Jackson "Jack" Schwanke, Autumn Schwanke and Livia Schwanke; aunt, Irene Quintana of Livingston, MT; cousin, Betty Byrd of Del Mar, CA; brother-in-law, Thomas Bartolucci and nephew, Jesse Bartolucci, both of Wallingford, CT; and his many, many friends. Family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2017 at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, OH 43026, (614)-876-1722, where a time of Tributes and Memories will be held from 3:30-4 p.m. and conclude with U.S. Navy Military Honors. I knew Fred when I managed the condominiums he and Carol lived in. He was a great guy and I'm sure his family will miss him. I'll always remember how respectful he was of his wife.
