Dr. German performed a rare open heart surgery on me in 1984. It was the third in the world of its kind. I adored him. He and a team of doctors saved my life. I´m forever grateful and blessed because of him.
I just found out today that he died. I´m back at Duke and was going to look him up.
Rest in Peace Dr German.
