Lawrence Meade Obituary

MEADE Lawrence B. Meade, age 67, of Grove City, died unexpectedly Thursday, June 9, 2011. Lawrence was born on September 14, 1943 in Columbus to the late Earl and Loretta Meade (Granby). As a young man he proudly served his country by joining the US Navy. He was a very caring man with a big heart. He was a proud member of the American Legion and Central Ohio Anglers and Hunters Club. His family will forever cherish his laughter, compassion and love. He is preceded in death by his step father Steve Granby, step-mother Dorothy Meade, half brothers Dean and Thomas Meade, and his father-in-law Earl Henson. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Michelle; daughters, Darlene Sroufe, Karen (Michael) Newman; son, Steven Meade (Tony Whitlow); three grandsons; three granddaughters; three great-grandsons; sisters, Verna Jean McGlaughlin, Patricia (Tom) Lamb; half brothers, Don (Sharon) Meade, David Meade; half sister, Mary Alice Meade; step-brothers, Adin, Paul and Glen Shade; mother-in-law, Denise Henson; sisters-in-law, Marianne (Robert) Toney, Monique (Bradley) Galford; and his beloved dog, Baylee.
