Lila Walker Obituary

Walker Lila Mae Walker, 87, peacefully went to be with The Lord on Saturday, September 5, 2015. Lila was born the daughter of the late Charlie and Nora Baker in Eastgulf, West Virginia on July 23, 1928. Preceded in death by husband Galvester "Chum" Walker, three sisters, two brothers and two grandchildren. She leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Marion Russell, Ethel Walker, Linda Walker; sons, James (Crystal) Walker, Charles (Jeraldine) Walker of Sicklerville, New Jersey, Sylvester Walker; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Maggie Peaks and Betty Miser; brother Clarence Baker of Farmville, Virginia; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Celebration of Life Service 12Noon Monday, September 14, 2015 at Refuge Missionary Baptist Church, 400 N. 20th Street, where the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service.
