Lisa Kay Reber

Reber Lisa Kay (Kennedy) Reber, 47, of Mount Perry, died Wednesday, December 25, 2013 of cervical cancer, surrounded by her loving family at home. Lisa was born September 8, 1966 in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of Sharon (Brewer) Kennedy of Columbus, and the late Jerry Kennedy. After her sister Linda's diagnosis and treatment for breast cancer, Lisa was inspired to abandon her sales career and purchase a hair salon where she could cater to those impacted by cancer and hair loss by offering free donations to Locks of Love and free services to those who were affected by hair loss. She heavily promoted breast cancer awareness by donating time, services and products at fundraisers. She also networked to have wigs and hats donated to her salon to provide free to those in need. Lisa was the proprietor of the Upper Cut Salon in Newark, Ohio and former employee of Sterling Commerce in Dublin, Ohio. Lisa was a graduate of Columbus West High School and Ohio State Cosmetology School. In addition to her mother, Lisa is survived by her husband, Bryan Reber; daughters, Kaitlyn Huddleston, Emma Huddleston, and Breanna Reber; her sister, Linda Kennedy (James Garland); and nieces, Lillian and Lucy. Friends may call from 3-6 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2013 at the Mount Perry Presbyterian Church, 13099 Church St., Mount Perry, Ohio 43760 where a memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday with Pastor Tom Burbridge officiating.
