Marghuerite Savoia

SAVOIA Marghuerite "Margaret" (Petrella) Savoia, age 94, of Columbus, died on Thursday, December 20, 2012, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Preceded in death by parents Anna (Gualtieri) and Bernardino Petrella, siblings Adam, Eva, Bernard, Mary, Phyllis, and Connie, husband Hubert and son H. Anthony, Jr. Survived by siblings, Lou Nance and Tony (Tiny) Petrella; children, Joe (Natalie), Regina Solorio, Eleanor "Ellie" (Dan "Tuck") Smith; daughter-in-law, Kathy "Kittsie" Savoia; grandchildren, Carlo and Joey Savoia, Monica Hunter, Deanna (Joe) Raymond, Ron (Susan) Savoia, Shelly (Lorent) Ipacs, Mindy (Mike) Blackwell, Tony (Marlene) Stengel, Michael Savoia, Angie (Steve) Adams; godson, John (Sharon) Galvin; 20 great-grandhildren; special niece, Patty Brown; and cousins, Gloria Tarantelli and Mike Binns; numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins; sisters-in-law, Jenny Dericko, Corina Cirillo and Phyllis Madline. Margaret was also godmother to great-grandchildren, Kayleigh and Nathan Blackwell. Mom loved and appreciated the people at the Sanctuary at Tuttle Crossing and we give a big thank you to them, especially the nurses, aides, and staff of 400 Hall. Thanks also to the staff of Riverside Hospital, 7th floor and all the family and friends for their kind and various expressions of love and support. Margaret's family will receive friends on Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 1177 W. Fifth Avenue. Her funeral Mass is Friday, December 28, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Parish, 1559 Roxbury Road, with Reverend Monsignor Anthony Missimi as the Presider.
