Thompson Marilyn Shannon Thompson, 83, of Gilbert, AZentered heaven February 15, 2013. Marilyn was a dedicated wife and partner while her husband pastored the Heritage Free Will Baptist Church in Columbus, OH as well as establishing the Heritage Free Will Baptist Church in Gilbert, AZ. Marilyn was an excellent mother and Nanny, endearing many with her gentleness and compassion. Her many talents and caring nature will be truly missed. Marilyn is survived by her husband, Paul Thompson; daughter, Barbara Mason of Gilbert, AZ; son, Phillip (Terese) Thompson of Gold Canyon, AZ; and daughter-in-law, Cinda Thompson of Gilbert, AZ; as well as seven grandchildren, Charissa, Erin, Sara, Shannon, Samantha, Paul, and Matthew; and four great-grandchildren, Marielle, Grace, Rosalie, and Bailey. She was preceded in death in 2002 by her son Paul Timothy Thompson. A visitation will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, February 22, 2013 at Heritage Free Will Baptist Church, 919 E. Guadalupe Rd., Gilbert, AZ, followed by funeral service at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made toThe Gideons International and sent to Heritage Free Will Baptist Church, 919 E Guadalupe Rd.
