Marjorie Rozene Keckstein

Keckstein Marjorie Rozene (Ryan) Keckstein, age 90, passed away in Columbus on December 16, 2015. Marge was born on July 25, 1925 in Marion County, Ohio to Zenith P. and Martha Darnell Ryan. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister, and her husband Paul F. Keckstein (deceased December 9, 2014.) A graduate of Claridon High School and a past volunteer for Riverside Hospital. Marge kept a happy Clintonville home for her husband Paul and their six children. The family worshipped at Immaculate Conception Church for over 50 years, walking just a block from their Dunedin Road home. Marge loved the company of her children's Clintonville, IC and Watterson friends. The IC Bowling League and her Lunch Bunch of IC ladies provided countless days of good fun. She was dear friends with her Dunedin Road and IC neighbors, and with PK's circle of Columbus Dispatch colleagues and cronies. Being a sports writer's spouse, she embraced it allsupporting PK through his distinguished 45-year career in journalism and cheering on the Buckeyes, Indians and at the Little Brown Jug for decades. Marge is survived by her six children, John (Julie) of Columbus, Mary Ann (Dr. Michael) Ralston of Indianapolis, Martha (Miles) Kouskouris of Powell, Mark (Marcia) of Bradenton, Florida, James (Toni) of Columbus, and Ruth (James) Anderson of Columbus; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Zack) Jemas, Geoffrey Ralston, Matthew (Justine) Kouskouris, Amy (Dennis) Zech, Chanelle (Chad) DeRosa, Christopher, Angela, Sage, and Paul Keckstein, Brooks Anderson, and five great-grandchildren. Friends may call 3-6 p.m. Sunday at the EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME NORTHWEST CHAPEL 4661 Kenny Rd. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Andrew Church Reed and McCoy Roads. Burial Resurrection Cemetery. Friends who wish may contribute in her memory to the St. Andrew Capital Campaign or Immaculate Conception Church.
