Ford Family,
I was shocked and very saddened to hear the news. I really enjoyed seeing Mark and getting to know him. My deepest sympathies and best wishes go out to all those that knew Mark better than I, especially his family.

I can't tell you how sad I am at hearing this news. I also worked with Bubba at the Arcadia Kroger store, and though we moved on in our lives I've always felt he was a friend. I would occasionally run into him at Stoneridge and he'd give me a nod and we would exchange a few memories. Bubba was a big part of what I consider to be the single most fun day of my life, when a group of us rafted the Upper Gauley river. I am so sorry for your loss, and ours.

To the family of Mark Ford:
I worked with "Bubba" at the Arcadia & High store many years ago. I also was able to see and chat with him at the Stonridge Plaza store before he left there. He was a joy to know- very caring and warm- and always called everyone Bubba. I enjoyed hearing about his sons- they were the light of his life- he loved them and was very proud of them.We here have lost a loved one- but heaven has gained an angel- and I rejoice in knowing that he has gone home. You are in my thoughts and prayers - and I am truly sorry for the loss of a wonderful man.
Sincerely, Jenny Rarick-Williams

Mr and Mrs Ford,

I have never met either of you, but knew "Bubba" as we called him when I worked with him at Kroger. Mark was a great friend for many years until our lives took different directions and we lost touch. I worked with him at the old Arcadia and High store along with the Broadway store. We played softball on the Kroger softball team and had dome great times with our circle of friends back in our younger days. The news of his death is stunning and even though we did not speak for years, I feel I have lost one of the best friends I ever had. My familie's prayer go out to you both and his children. He raised a fantasy person in your son and someone who understood real friendship. God Bless you all!

To my longtime friend Chuck Ford, I grieve at the pain your brother's passing has caused you and your wonderful family. May God grant you the wisdom, grace and peace to endure Mark's absence from this world, to hope in a reunion with him in the next, and to always hold his memory deep in your heart.

"For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: 'Death has been swallowed up in victory.'

O death, where is your victory?
O grave, where is your sting?

God gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore...stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourself fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." (1st Corinthians chapter 15).

Remember Chuck, there are people who genuinely love you.

Dear Betty, John and family, Sorry to read about Mark's passing. I remember as Mark and my son, Brian, were growing up, Brian always tried to emulate Mark. I think of Mark as the Fonz of "Happy Days". He was a free spirit and the other kids would look up to him. Mark will be missed by all that knew him.

Ford Family, we are so sorry for your loss. My husband worked for Kroger and new Bubba from our store as well as being a fellow employee. He always had a smile on his face and asked about your family as well as talked about his own family. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I'm in shock! I grew up with Mark as a child. I will always remember the story my mother tells, how Mark would come to our house after I started kindergarten and ask her if she could play, because everyone was in school. I remember the days and hours we would spend playing hot box in front of the Ford's house.

I am so sorry for your loss and my prayers our with Kent, Kevin, John, Betty, Chuck & Ron. Words are not enough to express how my heart aches for all of you.

Mark will be missed and always remembered by all of the Gillespie family.

Cuz,
I think the last time we were together, The "John Ford" boys took out the "Paul Ford" boys in a tug of war... It seems like you have been going through quite a few tug of wars over the last few years - and its been tough because you've won some and lost some. You're in a better place, but we're still here - trying to deal with you being gone. ...a tug of war. Hey, look down on us every so often and help us to win more of them than we lose... We'll miss ya... Paul
