Mark always had a smile and a quick laugh, a warm greeting and a funny story to share. He was a patient listener who had great advice. He loved his wife so much, he set such a gentlemen's example. He was so proud of his children and grandchildren, he would beam when he spoke of them. He was so smart yet down to earth and relatable. Everyone who knew him always said what a great guy when they mentioned his name. The world was better with his presence and is less for his loss.

This was a beautiful ceremony, where the comments resonate with us, even though we didn't know Mark as intimately as family. We were blessed to see him at company functions, and it was rare to have such a relationship with a colleague's spouse. Mark was always asking about others, and never focused on himself; something that was clear from the first time that we met him. May Mark rest in peace, and may God's Holy Spirit provide comfort and reminders of his special life to your family.

As I watched the mass my thoughts kept going back to fun times we had together. I had tremendous respect for Mark, and he always found a way to make us all feel special. We will miss him always!

Mark was a rare man. He held himself and others up to higher moral code. Mark was so incredibly intelligent and yet had the ability to make others feel totally comfortable in their own intellect. His cocktails were a science of mixology and imagination elevating the culture of the perfect cocktail. I will remember Mark in many ways, standing behind his outdoor bar, always serving others, walking miles through the neighborhood greeting everyone he passed. and even if someone did not respond to his greeting they would receive the same kind greeting the following day, he broke down barriers with greetings, bridging language and culture. His devotion to Maryanne was evident everyday in the many little things he did for her, packing her lunch, taking her arm as she walked on lawns filled with tree roots, standing when she walked up to a table in a restaurant and always pulling her chair out for her. Class act all the way. There will never be another Mark Leslie, he will be missed always, and in this case, grief is certainly the price we are paying to have loved.

Mark was more than a friend and a neighbor. He was like a brother to me, always kind, supportive and fun to be around. Mark was extremely intelligent and I loved to hear his point of view. I will miss him like a brother and I am a better person today, by just knowing him. Rest In Peace my friend.
