Mark Shepherd Obituary
1961 - 2021
Mark Shepherd, age 59, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Mt Carmel East. Preceded in death by his father Lewis. Mark is survived by his mother, Patricia; brothers, Terry (Beth) Shepherd, Dean (Diane) Shepherd, Paul (Mollie) Shepherd, Chris Shepherd; sister, Jennifer (Jeff) Mallas; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He graduated with honors from Walnut Ridge High School in 1979 where he was also a member of the National Honor Society. He then went to The Ohio State University to study pre-law with plans of one day being a lawyer. Mark spent the last 39 years in the care of his parents after a near fatal accident. Even after his injuries he was still a big sports fan rooting for The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. He continued to enjoy time with family, close and distant. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Brain Injury Association of Ohio, Box 21325, Columbus, OH 43221; www.biaoh.org. Friends may call Wednesday, April 28 from 3-5pm at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E Livingston Ave, Columbus, OH 43232 to celebrate his life.

I worked with Mark at Stumps supermarket in 1978/79. Although we weren't close friends, we would often talk about music and concerts. I also worked with his brother Terry. I just want to send my prayers to your family. May God watch over your family.

Pat,
We have so many fun memories of times spent talking together out in the back yard. We shared a lot of laughs together. Mark was a very special friend to both of us. We had so much fun going boating with you guys and with Mark to the Foreigner concert! Mark made mowing the lawn a fun time for me. Mark was very special and will forever live in our hearts! We know your heart is broken. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Love your friends Karen and Mark
