I knew the Burns Family for many years & remember Martha's special friendship with my mom. We Maxwell kids also had fun playing with their kids. I remember getting special treats at Martha & Bill's home and swimming in their pool one time. My love and sympathy go to all the family!
May God bless you!

Our Pastor's wife is quite unique, as all can plainly see.
She never sits or stops all day, as long as there should be:
material on sale; a cake to bake' or a meeting to attend;
A stitch to sew; a craft to make; or a 1,2 3 Bend!!
She helps the Pastor, church and family until she is almost beat,
And just as soon as she can do it...her shoes slip off her feet!
She's rather timid and oft times shy...sometimes you really can't tell it.
But when embarrassed her face does reveal, exactly how much she felt it.
She appreciates all her helpers, and she surely tries to show it.
She'll flatter you and praise you to somehow let you know it.
Yet...she doesn't pull her punches, you know exactly where you stand.
When you need to know something better, she supportively takes hold your hand.
She tries to play fair with all...especially the sister saints.
She really tries to stay up with them...cause sometimes she's 'fatty' and sometimes, she ain't!!
Her favorite food is eating. 'specially at the Chinese joint.
But please, don't misunderstand me...
I'm just trying to make a point!
Now, if by chance this ladies name, you haven't quite discerned.
Let me tell you; I've tried to describe, our most honorable, Sister Martha Burns!

THOUGH WE KNOW THAT THIS LIFE IS NOTHING TO BE COMPARED TO THE GLORY OF HEAVEN, IT IS STILL DIFFICULT TO LET GO OF THOSE WE LOVE! WE ARE SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS & PRAY THAT OUR PRECIOUS FATHER WILL COMFORT YOU THROUGH THE SAD TIMES.

I had known and loved Martha for my entire life. She was one of only a couple of 'non-family' who ever babysat me. I remember one time when i was so very impressed by the sliding glass door on their house. I had never seen one before. My heart and love go to the family and may the Lord be with you and comfort you.
