Martha Jurden Obituary

JURDEN Martha Ann "Marty" Jurden. A Mass of Christian Burial for Martha Ann "Marty" Jurden, 61, of Newark will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 18, 2005 at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church with Rev. Robert Penhallurick officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Mrs. Jurden died Thursday, July 14, 2005 in O.S.U. Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. Martha was born April 27, 1944 in Newark, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Ralph W. Harris and Joan (Workman) Harris of Newark, Ohio. Marty is a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and owned and operated Heritage Sportswear with her husband and was active with Newborns in Need and the "Domino Dolls". Beside her mother Joan, Marty is survivied by her husband of 42 years, Gerald T. "Jerry" Jurden of the home; 4 sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff Jurden, Michael and Kathy Jurden, Brian and Mary Beth Jurden and John Jurden, all of Newark; 12 grandchildren, KarriAnn Jurden, Tyler Jurden, Abby Jurden, Elly Jurden, Andria Martin, Tory Jurden, Brenden Jurden, Allison Jurden, Trey Jurden, Aaron Jurden, Wesley Jurden, Nolan Jurden; 2 brothers and sister-in-law, Thomas J. Harris of Newark, Rodger A. and Michelle Harris of Celina, Ohio; 3 sisters and brothers-in-law, Molly and Garry Morton of Newark, Barbara and William Settles of Newark, Carol and Robert Wallace of Boardman, Ohio; brother and sister-in-law, Donnie and Roberta Jurden of Newark; and sister-in-law, Debbie Maris of Las Vegas, Nevada; her mother-in-law, Viola M. Patterson and her husband, Charles of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. Beside her father, she was preceeded in death by one brother Frederick Harris. Friends may call on from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, July 17, 2005 at the REED EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, where a vigil service will be held at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday.
