Max McClaskie Obituary

MCCLASKIE Max E. McClaskie, 83, of London, died Tuesday, July 18, 2006 12:55 AM at Court House Manor, Washington Court House. Max was born December 25, 1922 in Bookwalter, Ohio, he was a son of Thomas Earl and Golda Marie (Wilson) McClaskie. He graduated from London High School in 1942. He served in World War Two, receiving the Purple Heart as a member of the Army Air Force 450Th Bomb Bardment Group 722ND Squadron "The Cottontails" He was retired from DCSC, Columbus. He attended Circleville Bible College, and pastored several churches in the Church Of Christ In Christian Union. Max is survived by his wife; Wilma (Bush) McClaskie; daughters and sons-in-law: Tara and Paul DePuy of Springfield; Megan and David Hunter of London; sons and daughters-in-law: Thomas E. and Sandra McClaskie of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; Barry E. and Sheila McClaskie of Hawesville, Kentucky; Steven E. McClaskie of London; brother: Robert E (Vivian) McClaskie of Sugar Grove; sister: Doris E. (Edward) Larkin of London; grandchildren: Lance McClaskie, Tiffany Ennis, Christa Speck, Max McClaskie, Morgan Hunter, Connor Hunter, and Savannah; great grandchildren: Aidan Ennis and Austin Speck; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Jack McClaskie. The family invites friends to call at the RADER-LYNCH AND DODDS FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. High St, London, Ohio, Thursday from 4-8 PM. where funeral service will be held Friday, 1:00 PM, with the Reverend Paul Burgett officiating. Interment will follow in the Paint Township Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made in Max's memory to the West Jefferson Church Of Christ In Christian Union Building Fund, the Central Ohio Alzheimer's Association, or a favorite charity. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home
