Michael Morrill Obituary
1939 - 2018
Michael Burns Morrill, 78, of Delaware, passed away Wednesday evening, September 19, 2018 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus and will be sadly missed by his friends and family. He was born December 14, 1939 in Columbus to the late Paul Donovan Morrill and Alice (Burns) Morrill. After graduating high school, Michael went on to receive his bachelor's degree in Business Administration from The Ohio State University and was very proud that himself, his wife Marcia and several other family members graduated from there. Michael served as administrator of the lunch program for Columbus Public Schools and was a longtime board member for the Board of Zoning Appeals for Berlin Township. He also served as treasurer for the EDCO Stock Club for many years. He was involved with old home real estate in the Franklinton area was a real life "Mr. Fixer Upper". He enjoyed mowing, going to the gym and traveling, seeing many places including Africa, China, Alaska, Australia, Mexico, and New Zealand. He also enjoyed woodworking, making clocks for the family, and he was an avid OSU Buckeye football fan. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 48 years, Marcia (Mays); children, John (Jean) Morrill of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Karen Burton of Columbus, Jeanne (Mike) Northcutt of Phoenix, Arizona, Laura (Ken) Gessner of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, Mark (Louetta) Morrill of Hilliard, and Matthew (Nancy) Morrill of Dublin; 8 grandchildren; brothers, Daniel (Sandy) Morrill of Owosso, Michigan and Paul (Patty) Morrill of Vincentown, New Jersey; nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his son-in-law Richard "O.B." Burton. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at a later date.
