Nancy Hadley Obituary

HADLEY Nancy Nida Hadley, died Monday, December 10, 2012 of Alzheimer's disease. Born in Columbus, Ohio on August 16, 1933 to the late Ruth Patterson Nida and Jack Edwin Nida. She earned her B.S. in education at Ohio State University, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi. Survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert G. Hadley; daughters and sons-in-law, Elisabeth N. Hadley and Leonard J. Hernandez, Sarah H. and Louis R. Hildreth and Ruth G. Hadley; grandchildren, Nicholas G. and Julia P. Hernandez and Virginia R. and Constance E. Hildreth; and sisters, Jo Anne Nida Patterson and Elizabeth Nida Noethlich. She was a former school teacher, chair of volunteers for the Columbus Area Chapter of The American Red Cross, a former Girl Scout leader, volunteer for United Way, Buckeye Ranch, Childhood League Board VI, Council for Retarded Citizens, Ohio Historical Society, Jazz Art Group, Greater Columbus Tennis Association and Twigs of Children's Hospital. She was a member of First Congregational Church. Family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m., with a memorial service beginning at 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 16, 2012, at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road. A private family interment will be at Green Lawn Cemetery. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy's memory to the Columbus Area Chapter of the American Red Cross, The Childhood League Center, or Children's Hospital. Bob I was sorry to hear of Nancy's death. She was a fine lady. I just lost my wife Dean after 64 yrs of marriage. I enjoyed working with you at Turner & Shepard as well in CPCU.
