Please accept my sincere sympathy regarding the passing of Mr. Napoleon Bell. I had the opportunity to work with him during the "good ole political days" and learned a great deal during my times with him and Albert Hawkins. He was always patient, kind and a gentleman. My prayers are with the entire family.

To the Bell Family:

It was deep regret that I learned of the passing of Nap. He and Brother Lewis were great mentors and the support I received from both as an undergraduate Polemarch at Zeta Chapter, OSU and as Polemarch of the Columbus Alumni Chapter was unparrelled.

Nap and I would cross paths every day in the alley beside the State Office Tower on his way to or from meeting with Brother Allen. He day he would have a word of encouragement.

Next month the Columbus Alumni Chapter will celebrate the 22nd anniversary of the scholarship fundraiser where Nap allowed us to "Roast" him in his honor. It also was the night that Buster Douglas defeated Mike Tyson for the heavyweight championship of the world. Two knockouts in the same night. You can't beat that. My hat's off to one of my heavyweight champions.

Dear Dorothy, we are so sad to hear of Nap's passing. You and your family have our deepest sympathy and prayers during this time of sorrow. We have some fondful memories of times spent with you and Nap. May he rest in peace....Jackie and Earl(Butch)Greer

Leslie and I are so very sorry to hear of Napoleon's passing. He was a very kind and giving person. He took me around with him on the job on one of those take your kid to work days. Took me to the courthouse and had me dictate a letter for my Mom to type. It was pretty cool. I have that and other good memories that I will keep of him. He will be missed by all that knew him.

I was privileged to get to know Napoleon during his time on the Board of Directors at Columbia Gas. I supported the Board during his tenure. What a sweet gentleman he was and always had a great story to share. I was especially happy for him when he shared with me about purchasing the property in Henderson. May the memories of all the good times shared sustain his family and close friends in the difficult days ahead.

Doug and I were very sorry to learn of Nap's death. I know it is a great loss to you and your family Dorothy.
I worked with Mr. Bell in his law practice, the Governor's office and the Industrial Commission as his Legal Assistant for around 15 years. After retirement, we stayed friends, visiting you in Henderson and in Columbus. We will miss him too.
I was always proud of the way he treated his clients. He was always there to help them when they needed extra assistance, like taking them to the bank and showing them how to use checks, etc., when they received a lump sum settlement.
He was truely a good man. I know he leaves a legacy that his family can be proud of.
Dorothy, I wish you the very best and will keep in touch.
