Nick Teteris was an OB resident, I an intern when my wife went into labor for our first baby. This was before all the monitoring info, U Sound of today. Nick somehow diagnosed an occult or internal prolapsed cord and quickly arranged for an emergency C-Section. He saved my eldest son's life. In addition, he was a great guy to hang with.

NOVEL R. RATCHFORD

I will always remember the man who told me not to worry about being pregnant, he was the best. He would walk me through the entire process, so stop worrying, NoVell, this is how he would call me not the way my name is pronounced (like a novel in a book), A wonderful man and doctor. Still think of him, I am 79 now.

Hi John and family. I am out of town and just - sadly - saw this announcement. Frankly honest but always a genuine mentor. His students' best interest were always at his forefront. While learning from him and working alongside "Uncle Nick" for many years, our residency class chose the right man to model when we initiated the "Nicholas Teteris OSU Residency teaching award" in 1986. It was my special blessing to meet him by serendipity at Dr. Alice's office a couple of years ago. I was given and gladly grasped the chance to tell him - face to face - what a great influence he had been in the good parts of my life. The world has lost a bit of its richness - so sorry for you and us all! Now he's with Bouts!

For 50 years I’ve known Dr. Teteris. He delivered my daughter. From the day I met him I always felt at ease. Loved his candor and truthfulness. John, you took over for him. So much like your father. Sorry, that it was his time to cross over to the other side. My prayers to the Teteris family. Will always remember him.
