Mary Masciadrelli Obituary

Mary Masciadrelli 1930 - 2013 WESTFIELD - Mary A. (Orefice) Masciadrelli, 82, of Westfield died Saturday in Noble Hospital. Born in Enfield, CT, she has lived in Westfield for 55 years. After working many years in local businesses, Mary retired to spend more time with her family. After the death of her "honey," Bob, she volunteered at the Westfield Police Department and the Amelia Park Ice Area. But, Mary was most proud of the 14 years she spent volunteering at the Noble Hospital Gift Shop. Mary was well known throughout the Noble Hospital Community for her smiling face and her upbeat personality. She was predeceased by her husband Robert in 1998, and all six of her siblings. Mary is survived by two daughters, Susan Sawyer and her husband Tom and Robin Cameron and her husband Phil, all of Westfield. She also leaves her four loving grandchildren, Chris and Emily Sawyer, and Drew and Greg Cameron, who brought joy and pride to her life. The Masciadrelli family would like to thank the entire staff of Noble Hospital, as well as Dr. Kuppuswamy and Dr Reid for the kind and compassionate care Mary received. A memorial service in her honor will be held on Thursday at 1PM at the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St., Westfield. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4PM until 7PM. Burial will be private. Donations may be made in her memory to Noble VNA and Hospice, 77 Mill St., Westfield, MA, 01085. firtionadams.com

As Anthony Orefice eloquently said;
"As we all get older and drift apart, it doesn't mean we forget about the memories or each other."
I very recently was thinking about Mary & other family, before this legacy reminder came to me.

We had wonderful times as a family I wish my daughter could have had grown up experiencing.

May we bring some of that rich heritage to the next generation, never forgetting what we were privileged to have. That was a blessing.

Susan and robin and families, I am truly sorry to hear about the loss of your mother(grandmother) and my aunt mary. She was loved. As we all get older and drift apart it doesn't mean we forget about the memories or eachother. I cherish all the fourth of july's (and christmas's)at your mom and dads house. They both! Are missed.
