Peggy A. "Peg" Buckingham

1940 - 2016

Buckingham Peggy A. "Peg" Buckingham, age 76 of Delaware, an Angel of God, was called home Thursday, September 29, 2016 while surrounded by her family at Kobacker House. She was born May 29, 1940 in Ostrander to the late Candom O. and Mildred (Phelps) Snyder. Peg married George Buckingham on November 22, 1968 and together they shared almost 48 wonderful years raising a family, making a home, and operating several businesses together. For a brief time she also worked at Ranco. A woman of deep and abiding faith, she attended Grace United Methodist Church, now New Beginnings Church and the church where she was married. Gifted with a green thumb, she enjoyed gardening and flowers of all types. Peg and George created a garden oasis around their homestead. Creative in every way, she also enjoyed ceramics and crafting ceramic dolls. Always the nurturer; kind and sweet she possessed a genuineness that was unmatched. Although shy in her younger years, she was humble and forever concerned for others. Faithful in every way, she touched the heart of many and made it a point to enjoy every moment, especially those when surrounded by her family. Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband, George; daughter, Lori L .Webb of Delaware; son, Jerry (Kris) Webb of North Point, FL; grand-daughters, Ivana and Katy B. Webb; sisters, Marcena Webster of New Lewisburg, Jenni (Dean) Ecker of Ashley; brother, Danny (Julie) Snyder of Marengo; sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen and Rosemary Buckingham; nieces, and nephews. She was also preceded in death by brother Ted Snyder, niece Becky Webster, parents-in-law George and Gertrude Buckingham, brothers-in-law James "Jim" and Mark Buckingham. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the SNYDER-RODMAN FUNERAL CENTER, 101 Valleyside Dr. at 1510 W. William St., Delaware where services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday.
