Peter D. Mare

1921 - 2014

Mare Peter D. Mare, age 92, of Grove City, passed away Friday, February 28, 2014 at Emeritus at Pinnacle. He was born April 27, 1921 in New York, New York to the late Lewis and Lena Mare. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Clarice (Szeles) Mare. Peter was a supervisor at West Chemical Corp. in New York City and inventor/patent holder of a package labeling machine. He went on to open the Flip-On Packaging Company in the mid 1970's. Peter finished his career at the University of Miami, College of Engineering, in Coral Gables, FL and retired in 1992. Survivors include his daughter, Stephanie Mare; son and daughter-in-law, Greg Mare and Tina Badurina-Mare; and daughter, Denise Mare; grandchildren, Michael Lasini, Marissa Mare, Cameron Mare, Laura Jason, Ryan Jason, Brentine Stevens, Shane Stevens and great grandson, Shane Lasini. A prayer service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 4 p.m. with visitation one hour prior at SCHOEDINGER-NORRIS CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City. Pastoral Minister Marti Hurd officiating.
