Raymond Woodward Obituary

Woodward Raymond Hughes Woodward, age 69, of Dublin, Ohio, passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, May 29, 2013. Preceded in death by parents Austin C. and Ethel Woodward of Columbus, Ohio, son Timothy Woodward, and twin sister Sarah (Charlton). Devoted husband of 47 years to his wife, Paula (Willis) Woodward. Beloved Father to Timothy, Suzanne (Gabe Simms) and Alan. Grandfather to Cody, Gabriel and Christina. Great Grandfather to Kendall and Bentley. Brother to Beverly (Eisel), Annette (Brunney), Barbara (Dave Wollenberg), Susan and Brother-in-law, Rod Charlton. Served Honorably in the Army as a 1st Lieutenant overseas during the Vietnam War. Graduated from The Ohio State University and worked as a mechanical engineer throughout his career. Leaves behind numerous brothers and sisters of the Willis Family, many nieces, nephews, and friends. Viewing hours will be held at 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, May 31 at MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI Funeral Home at 1068 S. High Street, Columbus, Ohio, where service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, with burial at St. Joseph's Cemetery afterwards. Paula, Suzanne, Gabe, Gabriel, and Christina: We are so saddened at the passing of Ray. He was a devoted father to Suzanne and a wonderful supporter of Gabriel and Christina. We will miss seeing him at the track meets, football games, and band competitions.
