Richard Behnken Obituary

Behnken Richard V. Behnken, 86, of Jeffersonville, passed away on October 31, 2015 at Court House Manor. He was born May 20, 1929 in New Lebanon to the late Fred and Gladys Shell Behnken. He came to Fayette County in 1963, later moving to Sunbury in 1985 before returning to the area to live in Jeffersonville in 2013. Richard loved being a truck driver and working with horses as a farrier. Richard also enjoyed spending his time admiring the beautiful scenery of the hills in southern Ohio. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Dolores Jean Patterson and two brothers Dale and Don Behnken. Richard is survived by one daughter, Deborah (Doug) Sears of South Solon; step son, David Patterson of Columbus; two grandchildren, Jess (Jami) Sears of Jamestown, Jessica (David) Wright of Washington C.H.; two step grandchildren, Kelly and Michael Patterson of Columbus; four great- grandchildren, Cheyenne, Brady, Zane and Zoe; and special friend, Bill Hunter. Private family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by MORROW FUNERAL HOME, Jeffersonville, Ohio.
