Bev
We were so sad to learn of Dick's death after returning from overseas. We will greatly miss him and the discussions we had with Dick and you, often over dinner. We have many wonderful memories of times together; learning about his hobbies and interests and concerns. We still remember the first auction up in Delaware. What fun! And the collections of ceramics and the time when he went to the American Ceramic Society and found the rare yellow bird on a back shelf that he was able to buy and then track down the artist's daughter. We remember too when Dick fixed his hearty vegetable soup. These great memories will keep him alive in our hearts, as I am sure they do for you also.

Bev- I don't read the obits, so I'm grateful that Jean Forsythe left me a voicemail. I'm so sorry. I recall Dick and Jeff going on a father son Wilderness Bond outing that I was part of. Very cool. He was a good guy. His loss must leave a great void for you and many others. Sue and I are thinking of you.

I remember Dick fondly from our days of working together at Flickinger/Scrivner. I was fresh out of high school with no experience. I stayed there for 18 years! Largely due to the fact that Dick was so wonderful to work for! Kind, understanding, smart, and a true man of integrity! Dick spoke so lovingly of his family and would always ask “so how’s your family”? He really cared about people and their lives beyond the workplace. I learned a lot from Dick and have applied much of what he taught me to how I raised my own children. My deepest sympathy to your family. I’m sure Dick will remain forever in your hearts and will be recalled often in your precious memories.
