Dick, over the years you fought hard for the IR/WA, your profession and to stay will us. I'm so glad you were a friend and part if of my life. My memories will always be of your dedication, arguements as to the right way to do things, fun with your family as we explored zoo's, museums and fun places with Michael on our various seminars together. Rest in peace my friend.

I worked for Dick in the early 1980's when he was Chief Real Estate Counsel for the City of Cincinnati. Dick was always professional, hard working and had a great sense of humor.

I am very saddened by his passing and offer condolences to his family and friends.

I first met Dick in 1968 while we were both working for ODOT. While I left for a Federal career, Dick left for the Real Estate Manager’s job at the City of Cincinnati. When I was working for HUD in Columbus, we again became close and Hart and I made numerous trips to Cincinnati to visit with Dick and Jan. I was honored to attend his retirement party at the City and we continued to visit with them when he became a Partner at a prestigious Cincinnati law firm. After Jan passed in 2003, we continued to keep in contact. We were so happy when he married Pat, he was happy once again! Over the years, we have continued to share the ups and downs of our lives by telephone and email, but one thing we both agreed on was that I really needed to come and visit him in Noblesville. When I last spoke with Dick, he said that he was well and we again agreed that Hart & I needed to come and visit. Sadly, that never happened. Please rest in peace my good friend. We send our sincere condolences to all of Dick’s loved ones. We will miss him.

I worked next door to Dick for several years while he was here at INDOT and will definately miss both his humor and his willingness to help whenever asked. From sharing stories about our joint connection to Cincinnati to our working relationship, I will fondly remember what a great man Dick was. He will be missed.

To Dick's Family: I had the great fortune of being able to work with Dick at the State. Dick was such a personable man and helpful and loved his kids and wife and job. He was so easy to talk to and so helpful when you had a problem. Being in the Real Estate Division and working with Dick and his colleagues was so pleasant. Dick took his job very seriously and was kind and considerate to everyone. He will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you the family, just know that he loved you very much and he will be missed a lot. With my deepest sympathy. Sheila Bonham

I worked near Dick's desk at the Attorney General's Office and always enjoyed talking with him (when we should have been working)! He seemed to care so much about his son and worried about him after his first wife passed away. My condolences to the family.
