Sorry to hear the passing of such a nice person. I met Rodney and Vera when I sold them there first home. M L Sales and Assoc.
Enjoy jazz music and last saw him with the (Love's) Andy and Becky.

I worked with Rodney at OCB and got to know him and his family. I remember how much he cherished his daughter and family. We shared our love of Volvo cars and had friendly battles involving our respective teams, the Lakers and Pistons - he took great pleasure in me losing and wearing a Lakers' hat. He will truly be missed. May you find comfort in your treasured memories of times you shared together. Your family is in my prayers.

From our days at OU, Rodney was a friend, mentor, fraternity brother, housemate and a partner to cruise the highways with between Athens, Columbus and Dayton. We were among the core of students who founded the African-American Studies Dept. Our paths may have drifted apart but the fond memories I have of Rodney will be with me forever. My prayers are with his family.

Dearest Family of Rodney Dean Sampson. I was a fellow classmate at Ohio Univeristy, graduating the same year, and remember him well. Rodney was the nicest person and I offer my deepest sympathy to his family.

Rodney was always a person that made you feel good about yourself. I remember as a freshman at Ohio University in 1970 how enthused I was to take Black history classes at OU and finally learn my history. The times spent with Dr. Rhoades and Rodney in Lindley Hall were priceless and formed the foundation for future success. To my good Kappa Brother I bid you farewell. To Rodney's family you will be remembered in my family's prayers.

To the Family,
Rodney was a co-worker at the Post Office who remained a friend of mine after he left for the State. I just talked to him several times before he retired. His passing is a shock and he will be missed by us on earth. God has plans we don't always know about and may God Bless his Family and keep them strong.

As a former co-worker with the Department of Mental Health, Rodney was a such a wonderful person to talk to and he showed a lot of wisdom through his stories. Thank you Rodney for the invites to the Cavaliers Club barbecues, the Al Green CD and enjoying the Frankie Beverly and Maze concert. He was always willing to help someone or give words of encouragement. To his family, it was a honor to have known Rodney and my prayers go out to you during this difficult time.

Rodney Sampson was nothing short of a great human being and the most loyal friend that anyone could ever ask for. The adjectives that could be used to describe Rodney, are endless, so I won't even try. All I know is that he looked out for everyone's well being and was genuine in all that he did. He was responsible for saving the most important thing in the world to me. He will be greatly missed but fondley remembered. Good bye my friend, see you later!

I first met Rodney when he was working for the Office of Collective Bargaining. We stayed in contact after he went to the Department of Mental Health. Rodney was a wonderful man, and he will be missed.

I had the opportunity to become acquainted with Rodney when we were employed by Mental Health. Rodney was a true honest friend to me and was always there. We enjoyed many converations about our roots in the Southeastern Ohio area. I was saddened to learn of his passing just as I know others will be - especially his family. To the family, I extend my sincere sympathy.
