Rosalia Magora Obituary

Magora Rosalia "Rose" Magora, age 88, Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. Member of Saint John Chrysostom Byzantine Catholic Church. Retired employee of Ohio Bell Telephone Company. Preceded in death by husband Michael Magora, parents Anna Tylez Harasymczuk and Kappus Harasymczuk. Survived by sons, Nickolas (Toni) Magora, and Michael (Mia Strope) Magora, all of Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Nick (Amanda) Magora, Jr., Tanya, Stephen, Angela (Daniel Adkins) and Mikey Magora; two great-grandchildren, Sydney and Anderson. Family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in the LONG FUNERAL HOME, 5528 Cleveland Avenue, Columbus, OH. Funeral service will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, February 21, 2013 at St. John Chrysostom Catholic Church, 5858 Cleveland Avenue, Columbus, OH. Rev. Fr. Terrence Farmer, celebrant. Interment Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Lewis Center, OH.

I remember when I first got to know Rose at Ohio Bell,when I worked in the data(fdrc)department on 3rd st. Every potluck we had we would beg her to bring her homemade pierogies! long before I knew Toni or Nick, We all were one big family. It was a Joy to know her.

I am so sorry for your loss. Losing our parents is so very hard and I will keep you all in my prayers. Your Mom was such a joy to have walking around the neighborhood and always having something nice to say and to just chat for a while, always with a smile on her face. She was someone special to know.
