Ruth Finlay

FINLAY Ruth (Meckstroth) Finlay, age 90, of Friendship Village of Columbus, formerly a long time resident of Clintonville, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2005 at St. Ann's Hospital. She was the daughter of Dr. Charles Edwin and Martha Meckstroth born January 25, 1915 in Botkins, OH (Shelby Co.). Preceded in death by her husband of over 45 years Walter W. Finlay, her son Walter Kent Finlay, and brothers Dr. Paul G Meckstroth and Dr. Norman A. Meckstroth. Survived by daughter, Martha (George Penoff) of Westerville, grandchildren, Andrew Penoff of Chicago, IL, Bradley Penoff of Vancouver, British Columbia; and brother, Dr. Leslie E. Meckstroth (Carol) of Camden, S.C. Attended Miami University, Oxford, OH and graduate of The Ohio State University where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. A teacher for several years in Columbus Public Schools. A member of Maple Grove United Methodist and Clintonville Women's Club. Friends may call at SOUTHWICK-GOOD & FORTKAMP FUNERAL CHAPEL, 3100 N.
