Samuel Dodge Obituary

DODGE Samuel W. Dodge, age 53, died at his residence on May 22, 2008. He was born, raised and schooled in Graniteville, VT. Sam served 3 years in the U.S.A.F. where he was stationed in Japan. Sam worked at Lane Aviation for several years. He had considered his co-workers his extended family. Sam cared for his family, friends, and community. Preceded in death by his beloved mother Lillian Edson Dodge. Survived by father, William H. Dodge of Ninnekah, OK; daughter, Jessica (Mike) Dodge of Circleville, OH; step grand daughter, Mikala Binkley; several aunts and uncles. He will be missed by all. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP, 3030 W. Sam never forgot a face and could always put a name to that face. His sincere manner and knowledge of aircraft parts made a trip to the Lane Parts store a pleasant experience. His passing is a great loss to the aviation community.

I knew Sam thru his work, and was lucky enough to meet him at a conference several years ago. Sam was a very kind & generous man that always had a friendly smile, and an upbeat personality. He will be missed. My condolences to his family.

I worked for Sam in the parts department at Lane Aviation from 2000 to 2001 and I really enjoyed working for a man who was very good at his job and well respected at Lane Aviation.Not only did I like working for Sam at Lane but,I had alot of utmost respect for the man.He was smart and he knew his stuff so Sam,God Bless You and to your family.You Will Be Greatly Missed.
