Butz Sharon Elizabeth Cassady Butz, passed away on February 16, 2015 in Columbus, OH at the age of 58. She leaves behind her husband, Wendell Butz; her daughter, Sara Butz; and her grandson, Myles De Bard. Sharon was born on March 26, 1956 in Mount Vernon, OH to father Burbage "B.W." Cassady and mother Janet Cassady, (Hull) who predeceased her. She grew up in a large, loving family with four brothers and was raised with stepmother Nell Cassady. Immediately after graduation, Sharon enlisted in the United States Army. Sharon married high school sweetheart and best friend Wendell Butz on October 26, 1974 and lived in Monterey, CA where Sharon served as a specialist four legal clerk 1974-1977. Sharon was the most caring, giving, loving person you would ever meet. She remained an optimistic, courageous, strong woman, even throughout her final months. Her passions were family, her dog (Girly), cooking, and most importantly serving the Lord. Sharon is survived by her husband, daughter, and grandson as well as her brothers, Pat, Joe, Dan and Ron Cassady. Their wives and Sharon's sisters, Tammy, Lisa, Theresa, and Carla. Sharon's special nieces and nephews, Chris, Crystal, Mandy, David, Scott, Ron, Sean, and Billy Cassady. Sharon was committed to all of her family and loved her numerous cousins and extended family deeply. Sharon she was laid to rest at the Williamson family cemetery in Tomahawk, KY where she spent her childhood summers with grandparents Burbage and Elizabeth Cassady. The family would especially like to thank all of the angels who cared for Sharon at The James Cancer Hospital and the Kobacker House. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Kobacker House. My mother was everything to me and my son Myles. I will miss her most for her ability to guide, love and ultimately help me in my life. There was nobody's opinion I needed more than Mom's. She was the best to Myles and helped anyone she could... that was how good she was to everyone. And not to mention the best cook! (No... nobody's Mom beats my Mom's food!)
