My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I feel very honored to have had the privilege to meet you both when you were in Greensboro for "Friends for a Earlier Breast Cancer Test" event. Stefanie was admired by all who attended. Thank you for sharing that time with all of us. May God keep your family always.

Chris and family,
Chris, I worked for MGI Pharma (based in Minn). and was the pharmaceutical rep for OSU back when Stefanie was diagnosed. I worked for Al Caplan also, and remember your strength as you talked to our sales force at one of our meetings. She was very lucky to have you as a husband, friend, and father of your children. OSU is lucky to have had her as a cancer advocate. God bless your family...

To Chris and Family,
I was on a cruise the day that Stefanie died, although I didn't hear of her death until Saturday when I was returning home and watching the OSU-Michigan game in the airport. I didn't realize until later that on the day of her death she was in my thoughts and prayers as I participated in the "On Deck For The Cure" 5K walk around the ship's deck for breast cancer. Thank you for sharing her with us. Her kindness and braveness will never be forgotten. God bless you all.

Chris - I listened to you on Talk radio on Wednesday. Tears streamed down my face. You and your family have the courage and strength to continue to support Stefanie's cause and to encourage all women to continue to get their mammograms and to fight this disease. Having watched my mother fight and lose this same battle in 1996, when she was 48, my view of breast cancer was that it was a terrifying death sentence with no hope. Watching young, strong Stephanie fight and continue to live a joyful life through all of these years slowly changed my perspective. So when I was diagnosed last Christmas, at the age of 38, there was no wavering in how I would deal with this disease. There was no despair, only strength, determination, love, and a joy I had not experienced before. I know that I owe this to you. Thank you for being so public in your personal fight with breast cancer and for me giving me strength and hope.
Chris, thank you for being a faithful, devoted and loving husband and father. You are a wonderful role model. I know that listening to you speak about your journey has helped my husband to not feel so alone through our journey.

To Chris and children
Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in his wonderful face and things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of his wonderful face.
I think Stefanie is singing this song right now. As now she is looking upon the face of her Lord Jesus Christ.
Your entire family had Faith that one day you will be together agian in Heaven.
When I found out that I had breast cancer in July of 2001. My pastor and my family talked for hours there and then I knew that I put myself in the arms of Jesus. In doing this I felt the peace that I know that you and Stefanie had.
We are all human and fall short of the glory of God. But we do know that though God all things are possible.
Chris remember God will not give you more then you can handle.
Stefanie is with our Lord looking down and watching over you and the children each and every day for the rest of your lives.

Stefanie Spielman, is a hero to many. She has had a tremendous impact on our community, and to those that knew her, or even knew of her, she has been a beacon and provided direction to those affected by cancer. In one of life’s greatest battles she showed us, how to be courageous, positive and victorious. Stefanie’s life achievements remind me of this verse; I have fought a good fight. I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. [2 Timothy 4:7]. Stefanie never lost focus, and while it is obvious the entire Spielman family is founded on tremendous strength and character, I pray for additional strength and courage to help them get through this difficult time.

I am Sec for Board of Directors for a veterans assistance- nonprofit agency known as Veterans First...I was able to speak to Stef once about 5 years ago when I was in process of establishing our nonprofit...she was sooo very pleasant and helpful with her advise to me...It will stay with me forever...then, this past spring, I was able to take a Carnival cruise to the Caymans...on board boat, there was a program about Stef's breast cancer awareness...as both my mother and former wife are both survivors, I support the evert every chance I get...

To someone I would see around town. But did not know. From the days at Papa Joe's in the 1980's on High St. To watching your passion on TV to seeing you shop at the City Center given me and my son a warm smile. Chris you inspiried me with your play, and the words. Having the tools and not using them is worse then not have tools. I would listen to you on The Fan and TV because you were like a hero to me. We met briefly at Tuttle Crossing playland 10 years ago. Stephanie's illness had recently been announced and you were there with Madison (I believe) and I was there with my son Kyle. We were the only 2 guys there and all I said was "You're Chris Spielman aren't you?" You gave me a big smile and said yes. There are so many people who need a source of strength and courage to draw from, and you have been that for more of them than you will ever realize. I have been dealing with breast cancer fears in my wife and her mother for several years now and everytime, I draw strength from you and your family. I will always remember her as the Sweet Beautiful Angel that stood as a pillar of strength in the adversity of her cancer, she truly understood Gods need to have her fight this battle for so many others, and accepted it without hesitation.

To the Spielman family & friends,
Three years ago I had a friend that God also allowed to have cancer. The following verse brought me comfort. 2 Peter 10,11 (NLT) reads, "So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things and you will never fall away. Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."
I can only imagine the grand entrance that God had waiting for Stefanie!

My prayers go out to the Spielman family during this difficult time. It is fitting that God chose to take Stefanie in His arms right before Thanksgiving, so that we can thank Chris and Stefanie for all that they have done in the fight against cancer. My Mom passed away from colon cancer, and I recently had uterine cancer.I remember my doctor telling me I was blessed, not only because they caught my cancer early, but because I could make a difference by telling women to see their doctor regularly. I thought of Stefanie and Heather Pick and their fights againest cancer. They did not mourne their fate but "got busy" helping others. Stefanie is my role model,she helped me to realize that I need to embrace life and not mourne the fact I had cancer. I only wish I had her courage and strength.May God bless all of you. I just watched the Memorial service for Stefanie. What a beautiful tribute to a very deserving Christian lady. I pray that many of those in attendance will make a decision for Christ because of the way Stefanie and Chris have lived their lives and the wonderful Christian witness they have been. My heart goes out to the family, for I lost my husband of 40 years on Jan 4, 2004. It's not easy, but the God we serve will get you through one day at a time. But we know that when he (Jesus) appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is." Stephanie today is seeing Jesus as He is - and she is like Him. Isn't that awesome? May the Lord give you much grace, comfort and peace as you mourn her absence on this side of eternity.

Mr Spielman and family - a couple of years ago I stood next to your family at the start line of the Race for the Cure. Stephanie was speaking and it was obvious how proud of her you were. She was a champion not only for breast cancer, but for how to live one's life.

Stefanie I met you for the first time this year at Race For The Cure and I watched in amazement as you crossed that finish line with the help from your daughter. I feel joy,pride and hope because of you and I know God has plan for all of us. You have left thousands of survivors with hope that they to will find a cure . I didn't know Stefaniem just knowing of her through Chris, you where the reason I became a OSU fan.
