Dear Keren,
You probably don't remember me, but I was a friend of Cholly's back at Woodward Academy. I loved him dearly. I have tears in my eyes when I think of you so many years ago--how brave you were and how kind to me in my grief. I later gave my heart to the Lord and want you to know that I am praying for you and your family. May the Lord comfort you in your loss of your son and protect and keep you in the years to come.

Dear Keren, Heidi and family,
I was shocked and saddened to hear the news about Tommy. I have lost touch with you all, and I wasn't even aware that Tommy was in Ohio. I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers continue to be with you all.

Callaway Family,
My name is Trevor Breedlove from Covington, GA. I knew Tommy in Middle School. We were in Boy Scouts together. If I remeber correctly he had a Grandfather that was a Doctor? Anyway Dr. Callaway delivered me as a baby. I am so sorry for your loss. I haven't been in contact with Tommy for at least 20 years. God Bless you all!

Tom was not only my husband, but my best friend.. Mornings and evenings are hard. I miss him SO much. I had not been able to find this page and had only heard of it through friends and family. I would like to thank everyone for their kind words. To those of you who witnessed this tragedy and tried to help, I greatly appreciate you. It is reassuring to know he did not die alone and so many tried to help him.

I love and miss you, Tom

Your wife always and forever,

Words escape me. I can only pray for Tom and all the members of his family. I had lost contact with Tom for the past couple of years. Out of the blue, he called me a couple of months ago. We had several long conversations. We talked politics and family , just like the old days. I want Justin and Jordan to know that he loved you very much and that he misses you now and has been missing you. Take comfort that he is now with our Lord, the same Jesus that will guide and comfort you through this troubling time

To the family of this man:
My husband and I witnessed the aftermath just minutes after this terrible accident. We were deeply saddened and troubled by this throughout our trip to Cleveland.
God be you and strengthen you. May this man's wife, children, mother, siblings - all find strength from God at this very tragic time.

We did not stop because we knew there was nothing we could do and many others ahead of us were already stopping. Although the traffic did not seem heavy at that time, we felt it was safer for the traffic behind us if we just kept on going.

God be with you always.

To the Callaway Family-
I want to express my deepest sympathy for your loss. My girlfriend Jackie and I, stopped to assist moments after the sceen. Just to let you know, every one of us involved attempted endlessly to gain access to Tom until medical help arrived. I am so sorry we could not have done any more. It also pains me to learn he is a brother Marine.
RIP Devildog, and Semper Fi!

I and my children spent numerous hours in the Callaway home when my children, Tom and his younger brother, Andy, were much younger. I remember so well that smile, his humor and curly blonde hair. They have all grown up, married and have their own children now, but you never forget those memories of wonderful times spent with dear friends.

Heidi, I have never met you, but you must be a very special lady, and Keren has stated how much she loves you, and you and Tom loved each other.

Andy and Amanda-I just lost my youngest sister almost 6 months ago. I keep wondering when the pain and grief will ease.

Keren, my dear friend of many years--I love you girlfriend and am here for you. I would give anything to be able to ease your pain, but only our Lord can do that. Know beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is carrying all of you.

My love as friend and sister in Christ,
Brenda

To the family and friends of Thomas Callaway,

My name is Jackie and even though I'm a complete stranger, I just want to tell you my boyfriend, Brian, and I tried everything we could to help Thomas. We saw the scene and turned around to help because medical personel weren't yet there. I'm an RN and he's a therapist and a Marine. There were other passerbys who stopped to help also. Please try to take comfort in knowing this.
I don't have the words to express my sympathy and condolences. I just wanted to start CPR. He's in Heaven and he's an angel and he will forever be watching over all of you.

With our deepest sympathy,
Jackie and Brian

We will always remember the times we spent with Tom and Heidi. He will be sadly missed by our entire family. We last saw Tom the day after Christmas, and we will remember him as he was, sitting in our wicker chair, enjoying a last cup of coffee before the drive home. We know that now Tom is truly at home in Heaven.
