Timothy Stein Obituary

STEIN Timothy Dennis Stein, age 41, Saturday, September 30, 2006 in the comfort of his parents' home, surrounded by his family. Over the past 15 months, Tim fought many hard battles against multiple myeloma and won most of them handily. Always at his side was Diana Grevencamp, his devoted fiancee and caregiver. (Barbara) and nephews, Geoffrey, Joshua and Noah, and niece, Faith; and brother, Gregory J. (Kim) and nephew, Nicholas. Tim was preceded in death by grandparents Ray and Ruth Koebel and Howard Stein and Elizabeth Andrews. Tim loved holidays, backyard football, cats, home-run derby and basketball in the driveway. He knew how to savor a well-prepared meal and was especially fond of pizza from Plank's Cafe and anything from Resch's Bakery. Tim was a tremendous fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football teams. In 2003, he proudly made a Cum Christo weekend. Tim was a big and gentle man whose smiling spirit met no strangers. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at MAEDER QUINT TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 S. Tim was a special guy and the term "gentle giant" describes him well. He always greeted me with a smile, a hug and a firm handshake. The thoughts and prayers of our family are with all of you at this time of need as you celebrate Tim's life and grieve his passing.
