Viva Lydens

Lydens Viva Lydens, age 77, daughter of the late Hobert Wright and Gwendolyn Goff Wright, was born June 7, 1938 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life November 14, 2015 in Worthington, Ohio. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was an active and beloved member of Linworth United Methodist Church. Viva's greatest joy was her grandchildren. Her infectious smile and love of people impacted all who met her, she knew no strangers. She valued her family and many friends, from the early years in Green County and Wooster, to the ladies of Soup Group, her tennis mates, Worthington friends, bridge club, members of LUMC, and the wonderful staff and friends made at Worthington Christian Village. Viva is survived by a son, Ron Wade (Ann), Powell, OH; a daughter, Lisa Stephenson (Eric), Columbia, SC; and a step-daughter, Lisa Efinger (Judd), Park City, UT. She was a proud Grammy to Andrew, Aerin, and Tessa Wade, Taylor, Logan, and Kate Rae Stephenson, Kyler, Anneké, and Rhine Efinger. Viva is also survived by siblings, Wilma Branstetter (Ray), Horse Cave, KY, Hubert Wright (Phyllis), Summersville, KY, Sue Davis (D.J.), Greensburg, KY, Brenda Majcher (Tom), Frankfort, KY, Mitchell Wright (Marissa), Mount Sherman, KY. She was preceded in death by husbands Ray Wade and Paul Lydens, as well as siblings Boyce Wright, Ruby Jean Durrett, Chester and Vester Wright. A celebration of life service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, November 20, 2015 at Linworth United Methodist Church, 7070 Bent Tree Blvd., Columbus, OH 43235, (614-336-8485) with a family visitation and reception following from 2:30-4:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall.
