William Hess Obituary

Hess William J. Hess, passed away at home on Wednesday, September 18, 2013. Born on July 15, 1925 in Chicago, IL to the late William F. and Freda M. Hess. He is survived by his loving wife, Marjorie; children, Mark (Anne Filbert) Hess, Patti (Jim) Hunt, Sandy Hess, Holly (Joe Laszlo) Love, Nancy Love and Scott (Sherri) Love; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is also preceded in death by his first wife Clare Hess; and sister Mary Jane Hess. A veteran of the US Navy, he served in the South Pacific. Bill retired as a Vice President - General Manager from Dorcy International. An avid sailor, Bill was a proud member of the Leatherlips Yacht Club. He enjoyed powerboating on Lake Erie for more than two decades. Family will receive friends from 12 noon to 1 p.m. on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N., High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085, where a Memorial Service will follow at 1 p.m. Private family interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 75817, Topeka, Kansas, 66675 or to www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
