William Mason Obituary

MASON William E. Mason Sr., 78, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2007, at home surrounded by family. He is preceded in death by his father Lester, mother Kate and son Michael Pettiford. William was employed by Local #423. He is survived by his wife, Madeline Pettiford Mason; children, William (Renee) Mason Jr., Yvonne Allen, Wilhemenia Mason, Elizabeth Oldham, Jackie Pettiford, Charles Pettiford and Nicole Pettiford; 28 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family members and special friends. Mas has been a very good friend and partner for 36 yrs . My kids knew him as uncle Mas . He would refer to me as his white son and in turn I would tell people he was my father . I could never have a better friend .We drifted apart the last few years but I think he knew how much I loved him and Madoline
