William West Obituary

WEST William E. West, of Worthington, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2011 at his residence. He was born to Charles and Louise West on August 8, 1936 in Columbus, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife and loving partner of 45 years, Caradas Ann and their three eldest sons Jerry Lynn, David Waltz and Scott West. Bill received numerous awards and recognition before retiring as a Lieutenant from The Columbus Fire Department after 32 years of loyal service. A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Bill is survived by his remaining children, Beth (Alan) Gillogly, Lore (Rob) Amon, Larry West, Kathie (Wendy) Westwick, Patty, Tim (Robin) and Dan Laubensheimer. He also leaves behind 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bob and Chuck; and special friend, Elizabeth Richards. Bill enjoyed all sports and cheering for his Buckeyes and the Big 10! He was a member of Grace Brethren Church and truly loved The Lord. Funeral Service will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2011 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High Street, Worthington, OH 43085, where family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2011.
