Carolyn Self

1932 - 2023

Carolyn Beaty Self, 90, went to rest with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 14, 2023. She was born March 26, 1932 to Ellis and Jettie Beaty. She was the manager of Bankhead Flower Shop for many years. She brought so much joy and so many smiles to the faces of all the people for whom she provided flower arrangements. She was such a joy to know and to know her was to love her. She was a faithful member of Calvary United Methodist Church, where she cherished all the time she spent with her church family.

Services to honor her life will be on Saturday, March 25, at 2:00 p.m. at United Funeral Service with Rev. Tim Atwood officiating. A visitation will be from noon until the start of the service. Burial will be at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.

Those left to carry on her memories are two daughters, Linda Bayer, and Donna Self, one sister, Jean King, four grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carroll Self, one son, Larry Self, one daughter, Susan Self, and twelve brothers and sisters.
