Dr Montgomery was my Oncologist for 24 years! He was truly a great doctor that didn´t mind touching his patients! I was saddened to hear that he was on that plane! My heart and prayers go out to his family and to the rest of his patients.

Dr Montgomery took care of my father in law, my mother in law for cancer, then myself for blood problems. He was kind, caring and the world has lost a wonderful man and Dr. RIP, Dr Montgomery. You have a crown in heaven for all your wonderful care of cancer patients.

I have been a patient of Dr. Montgomery for 20 years. I had a scheduled appointment next month. He was the kindest, and caring physician along with a discreet sense of humor. I remember on one scheduled appointment, which was early afternoon, but I was the last patient to leave the building due to some confusion in scheduling. He was very apologetic but a bit "put out." He said, "This situation should never happen." He is going to be greatly missed.

Dr Montgomery will truly be mouth. He was such a wonderful doctor to my husband on my husband first was diagnosed with cancer. He took very good care of him. he was very understanding and patient with my husband and never criticize him for his lack of knowledge. We have an appointment with him on the 26th of this month, and was so surprised to hear of his passing and shock both of us. Again, we are sorry for your loss of a very sweet, gentle man that cared a lot for his patient. He will truly be missed. We will pray for y´all may the good Lord keep his loving arms around you and comfort you throughout these years, may God bless y´all.

I will truly miss Dr. Montgomery. He´d been my doctor since my diagnosis in 2012. My husband would take me to Tupelo for visits. When Dr. Montgomery didn´t see my husband, he´d joke about where I had him hid. My husband had gone with me today for my visit just to say "hello" and to assure the doctor that I did not hide him anywhere. My heart dropped when I was told about his unexpected passing. I am grateful for his care and concern about my health and my family. My heartfelt condolences to his family.

My heart is in sorrow. Dr Montgomery was my doctor and he was a very carrying and loving person always had a?smile on his face. He will truly be miss. Praying for comfort in this time for his family.

Dr. Montgomery was one of the kindest doctors that I have ever had. During the most difficult time in my life, he continued to give me hope with his kind, gentle, and comforting spirit. Over 15 years of being his patient, I always looked forward to my next visit with him. He will most definitely be missed! I pray for comfort and strength to his family, colleagues, friends, and others who knew him.

I send my condolences to the family and praying for all in this hard time. I will forever be in debt to him for all he did to save my life at 17yrs old. Dr.Montgomery always went above and beyond his practice many of times. From the prayers, jokes, and compassion given he was more than a dr to me he was part of my family. I´m going to miss him asking about my miracle babies that I had after I went into remission he always wanted to see them as he remembered so well that my chances were so slim after having cancer.

I met Chaz in the first week I was in medical school. I actually bought a couple books from him. We remained friends throughout out professional life. My greatest compliment is that when my mom got cancer I immediately told her. I want Chaz to take care of you. He is missed.

I am a current patient of Dr Montgomery. I believe I am probably the last patient he saw before the tragedy. I was admitted into the ER Friday morning for neutropenic fever/sepsis risk, following my last round of chemo. He was not on call that day but he came to the ER just to make sure I was being taken care of. Such a caring man! Photo taken at 3:08pm 6/2/2023

When I first saw Dr Montgomery for breast cancer treatment in 2002, he had just treated my son for Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma and I mentioned to him that he had also treated my mother for breast cancer in 1982. On my next visit, he had pulled her records from 20 year old files for me to read. He was very thoughtful and caring, and an excellent oncologist.
My sympathy to his family. He will be missed beyond measure.

I am going to miss Dr. Montgomery. Everytime i went in to see him once a year,we would talk about fishing and he would ask me,when are you going to the coast? He was with me in 2011 when i almost didn´t survive my sepsis. He kept my husband informed of what was going on. He had a wonderful bed side manner. He was a great doctor. RIP Dr. Montgomery.

I´m going really going miss dr Montgomery. We would joke around and he always take time for his patients. Always asked about my mama. She was one his patients also. I pray for his children and staff and at the clinic.

Dr Montgomery was the nicest person you could ever know. He was my Dr for awhile and he will be greatly missed. He has done a lot of good things for the hospital in Tupelo, Mississippi when he was Chief of Staff years ago before things changed and not have doctors who only work the hospital. He is now with his lovely wife, Betty.My oldest son and their son Patrick were friends when they were in elementary school. A wonderful family.

I had the good fortune to work with Chaz for about six years at North Mississippi - he was a good friend and excellent physician. He was in the first group of the `PLI´ (Physician Leadership Institute) and I still remember his engagement and enthusiasm) and was always interested in improving our healthcare organization. I had the timely good fortune to see and visit with him briefly in Birmingham a few weeks ago - he mentioned that he sure looked forward to his flying . . . condolences to his family and friends
