Dorothy Tollison Raper

1925 - 2014

UNITY – Dorothy Tollison Raper, 89, passed away suddenly Monday 29, 2014, at Rosewood Residence. She was born June 26, 1925, to William ""Nick"" and Vallie Ann Walls Tollison. She was married to O.S. ""Bill' Raper on September 27, 1941. They were blessed with 64 years of marriage and three daughters. She worked many years in garment factories, but later retired from the Baldwyn facility of NMMC. She loved her Lord and family and she was a member of Unity Baptist Church.
Services will be today at Unity Baptist Church at 11 a.m. with Bro. Eddie Boutwell and Bro. Tim Green officiating. Burial will be in the Unity Cemetery. Waters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Goff (Jacky) of Unity and Loriesta ""Wis"" Williams (Gary) of Guntown; son-in-law, Wylie Parham of Unity; seven grandchildren, Steve Parham (Tammy), Jason Williams and Justin Williams (Brandi), all of Guntown, Kevin Goff of Unity, Dana Parham Ramey (Russ) of Fulton, Nancy Williams Owings of Nashville and Summer Goff Gorman (John) of Madison; seven great-grandchildren, Landon Goff, Lauren Burgett, Jeremy Parham (Elizabeth), Lara Britt, Morgan Owings, Tyler Ramey and Sarah Brooke Ramey; two great-great-grandchildren, Christopher and Cameron Britt.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; daughter, Betty Parham; three sisters, Louella Hendrix, Annie Mae Hendrix and Melverta Stout; seven Tollison brothers, John Dee, Roy, Henry, Troy, Sam, Leslie and James.
Pallbearers will be Jason Williams, Justin Williams, Kevin Goff, Landon Goff, Tyler Ramey and Steve Parham.
