June Arnold Obituary
Mrs. Arnold was born in Baldwyn, Mississippi on October 20, 1952 to Eugene and Nimmie "Louise" Speck Ashmore. Later, she received her Bachelor's Degree in Education and became a teacher by trade. She taught Math for many years.
Mrs. Arnold was a devoted Christian, Sunday School Teacher, and dedicated member of Central Park Baptist Church. She loved to attend church; and if she couldn't attend in person, she watched the livestream. June served as Church Secretary for First Baptist Church in Decatur and as a fill-in secretary for many churches as needed. She was the pitcher for her church softball team. She loved to read; travel to the beach; and was an avid Amazon shopper. June enjoyed bowling; however, her greatest joy was her family.
Mrs. Arnold was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her kindness and love will endure in the hearts of all who knew her. Although we mourn her passing, we take comfort in knowing that she has been reunited with her loved ones in God's embrace of eternal peace.
Mrs. Arnold was preceded in death by her parents; and granddaughter, Olivia Hendon.
Mrs. Arnold is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, David Arnold; children, Stacey Scarborough, Kelly Hendon (Corey), and Robbie Arnold (Maria); grandchildren, Jesse Scarborough, Hannah Scarborough, Casey Hendon, Coraline Hendon, Callie Arnold, Sophie Smith, Rossi Arnold, Joseph Paris; and sister, Peggy Ann Rinehart (James).
Pallbearers will be Chris Rinehart, Robert Skelton, Jesse Scarborough, Casey Hendon, Joseph Paris, and Corey Hendon.
Shelton Funeral Home in Decatur, Alabama was honored to be entrusted to assist the family with arrangements.
