Lanny Jackosn Obituary

Lanny Dean Jackson, 67, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born in Booneville on December 2, 1949, to Elvis and Valker Kelly Jackson. He worked many years as an auto body repairman. He was a member of the First Apostolic Church of Jumpertown. He loved hunting, mud riding, and being outdoors. He also cherished time with his family. His friends and family loved being around him and never knew what practical joke he would do next.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 27, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. at the First Apostolic Church of Jumpertown with Bro. Cecil Robinson officiating and Bro. Larry Marshall and Bro. A. L. "Buddy" Marshall assisting. Burial will be in Prentiss Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5:00 till 9:00 at the church.

He is survived by his wife, Dora Ann Wilhite Jackson, whom he married on September 24, 1971; a son, Charles "Buddy Durham (Andrea) of Jumpertown; three daughters, Elizabeth Vinson of Olive Branch, Tracy Grady of Collierville, TN, and Lori Hansen (David) of La Jolla, CA; brothers, Larry E. Jackson (Barbara) and Kenny L. Jackson (Judy) both of Booneville; sisters, Louise McVey, Janie Bennett (Kenny) all of Booneville; grandchildren, Jordan Pace, Reagan Vinson both of Olive Branch, MS, Michael Grady, Maggie Grady both of Collierville, TN, Lauren Miller of Booneville, and Piper Hansen of La Jolla, CA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Teddy Phil Jackson; a grandson, Landon Durham, and a granddaughter, Jessica Brooke Pace.

Pallbearers will be Jordan Pace, Jeff Smith, Jordan McVey, Steven Smith, Chris Johnson, Michael Grady, Jarrod Baker, and Jamie McFadden. Honorary pallbearers will be Kerry McVey and Joel Jackson.

Memorials may be made to Camp Barnabas, 901 Teas Trail 2060, Purdy, MO 65734, in memory of Lanny's granddaughter, Jessica Pace.
