Linda Boozer Obituary

The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.

Linda Moore Boozer was born January 1st, 1950, weighing only 2lbs. She was the only child of Hal and Dee Moore. Linda grew up and attended school in Amory, MS where she was a member of First Baptist Church.

She may have been small in stature, but her personality was very big and feisty. Throughout her 75 years, Linda enjoyed Cadillacs and driving fast (could go through the drive thru at the Mini Mart she owned and never set off the bell), attending concerts (once posed as a member of the band to get her and Al into a Waylon Jennings concert), and shopping (she had her own personal shopper at Willow and Reeds). Linda labeled everything in detail, held on to all the things she loved, and wrote the best notes on the cards she gave away.

She was most proud of her roles as mother to Al Stephens and Nana to Kenley and Luke.

Linda entered eternal life on July 27th, 2025.

Her spirit is carried on by her husband, Jacky Boozer, along with his family Katherine Boozer Parham (Bradley), Jonathan Boozer, Madelyn Boozer Carruth (Andy), Martha Carroll Boozer Alred (Stephen), her son, Al (Karen), and her grandchildren, Kenley and Luke, along with an extended family of friends from every walk of life.

Visitation will begin at 12pm on Wednesday, July 30th, at First Baptist Church, Amory, MS, with Dr. Allen Simpson leading the service at 2pm. Burial will follow at Haughton Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers are Chad Ray, Buddy Carlisle, Travis Murray, Mark Mitchell, Tony Swan, Stephen Alred, Bradley Parham, and Andy Carruth.

We find peace knowing that the Lord's goodness and mercy have followed her all the days of her life, and she will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
