Margaret "Maggie" Thompson Phipps died Tuesday, August 9, after a hard-fought battle with brain cancer. She was surrounded by her family.
Maggie was born in Tupelo, Mississippi in 1984. She graduated from Tupelo High School in 2003. Maggie was an avid dancer, having studied at North Mississippi Dance Centre where she excelled in all forms of dance. As an artist, Maggie's creativity was both professional and personal. Her unique style and spirit was projected through her art.
Maggie married Cass Phipps in 2008. They lived in Columbus, OH, for 2 years. After learning of her diagnosis, Maggie and Cass decided to move back to Tupelo to be close to her family and friends. She fought bravely and endured harsh medical treatments with courage and optimism. She was always kind, sincere, loving, and earnest. She adored her family and friends, who will remember her constant smile, her love of music, especially Keith Urban and Hanson. Throughout her life, Maggie maintained an interest in the arts.
