Mary Everett Obituary

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Mary V. Haynes Everett, 75, formerly of Ripley, passed away Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at her home in Brentwood, Tenn. She was born May 19, 1938, to John Wilson and Ruby Lee Hatcher Haynes. She was a member of Woodmont Baptist Church in Nashville. She was retired from Tom James Clothing after almost 30 years. She was a member of Hillsboro Harding Exchange Club.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today, Jan. 8, at Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Cobb officiating. Burial will be in Weirs Chapel Cemetery.
She is survived by one sister, Ruth Myers (Earl) of Memphis; four brothers, John Wayne Haynes (Mary) of Cotton Plant, Curtis Haynes (Betty) of New Albany, Jimmy Haynes (Rose) of Ripley and Eddie Haynes (Lynn) of Blue Mountain; 10 nieces; and 10 nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Pallbearers will be Bruce, John David and Shad Haynes, Sammy Hatcher, Arthur and James Cockrell.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at Ripley Funeral Home Chapel.

Mary and I have been good friends for over 50 years. I talked to her recently and received a Christmas card with a sweet note. She will be missed.

Mary and I met at O.W.A. a singles group sponsored by West Wne United Methodish Church. She was friendly and was an asset to this group. I enjoyoed meeting Mary and getting to know her.
