Tommy Verrell Obituary
Funeral service will be today, Sept. 18, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Glenfield Funeral Home. Burial will follow with military honors in Glenfield Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Etta White Verrell, whom he married Jan. 9, 1973; son, Tommy K. Verrell Jr. of Lafollette, Tennessee; daughters, Leetha Verrell of New Albany and Crystal Hutcheson of Blue Mountain; sister, Carolyn Dye; brothers, James, John (Jackie), Mike (Cheryl) and Randy (Sandra); and grandchildren, James K. Verrell (BJ) Tiffany Verrell, Kurt Ferguson, Hayley Ferguson, Mikala Hutcheson and Eric Hutcheson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Larry Verrell.

Sure hated to hear about Tommy (aka Mississippi).
We served in Vietnam together in the same Infantry Platoon. Our Unit was Lonely Platoon, Bravo Company, 5/46th Battalion, 198th Light Infantry Brigade, Americal Division, Republic of Vietnam. I will share this with about 28 guys that served with Tommy that we have contact with.
