Lucille Allen Obituary
Lucille Snell Allen, age 94 of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away Tuesday January 14, 2014.
A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mattie Lou Jernigan Snell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Allen, and a brother, Hubert Snell.
Mrs. Allen is survived by her daughters, Patricia Henderson, Emily Baker and her husband Mike; sisters, Virginia Austin and Betty Sneed, all of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Heather Lawson and her husband Newell of Smyrna, TN, and Jeffrey Baker and his wife Mary Beth of Murfreesboro, TN; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Caleb, and Morgan Lawson, and Henry Baker.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, with Brother Charles Mullins, Bob Schaffer and Ben Austin officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, with Newell and Zachary Lawson, Jeffrey Baker, Dan and Philip Austin, and Don Sneed serving as Pallbearers.
Mrs. Allen was a member of Kingwood Heights Church of Christ, and a retired secretary in the Engineering Division at the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN.
Visitation with the family will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, (615) 893-5151. Online condolences may be made at www.woodfinchapel.com.

To Mrs. Allen's family... she was a treasure and it was our great fortune to have known her over the past few years. A very caring and sensitive lady in every regard. We know she will now enjoy the eternal piece she so well deserved. Blessings to the family, Mrs. Allen , and to her dear memory.
